Back Room 4
This part of the back room contains work from 1997 to 1999. It was during this period that I explored large cropped forground objects and artwork inside of buildings. The art is usually based on well-known works. I did this in response to the many vacant walls I see in Chicago apartments. People spend a lot to dramatically light a blank wall. I often feel that something is missing, so I put it in my work. I like the voyeuristic feel of these paintings.
